100% Virtual Special Education Teacher - South Carolina Teletherapy

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team in South Carolina. In this role, you will provide individualized support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the tools and resources to thrive academically and socially. You do not need to live in South Carolina to apply, you need a license in the state you currently live in and the state you work in. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specialized needs
• Carry out engaging, differentiated instruction through virtual platforms, making use of various teaching strategies
• Cooperate with families, therapists, and support staff to track student progress and adjust instructional methods as necessary
• Record accurate and up-to-date student information regarding performance and IEP compliance
• Encourage a positive and inclusive virtual learning environment that fosters student participation and motivation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred
• Active South Carolina teaching license or certification in Special Education
• Two years of past experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in virtual settings
• Effective communication skills and the capacity to build rapport with students, families, and school personnel 
• Basic knowledge of virtual learning platforms and educational technology
