Fully Remote School Speech Pathologist Job in Minnesota

Are you a Speech Therapist looking for additional flexibility in your schedule? VocoVision is partnering with a school to schedule interviews for a fully remote SLP with a district in Minnesota. With VocoVision, you will have the chance to provide online services for students in need of communication, language, speech, and other verbal disabilities. In addition, you will be treated as an independent 1099 contractor, meaning you’ll have flexibility in your personal schedule to provide remote services. Whether it’s lightening your commute, focusing on family, prioritizing health concerns, or any other reason, this may be a good fit for you.

Position Details

  • 1099 independent contracting structure
  • K-12 caseload with mild-moderate symptoms
  • Full-time hours (see below for more details)
  • Access to Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant)
  • Start and End Dates: ASAP to End of School Year
    • There are also opportunities for Summer and Next School Year!
  • School Hours: 8:00 to 3:30 PM
  • 35-40 hours per week (including direct and indirect time)

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related degree.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Active Minnesota educational license as an SLP.
  • Two years of experience, preferably in a school setting.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage to work with students.
  • Home computer with camera/microphone functions with strong internet connection.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations for speech, language, communication, and articulation needs.
  • Provide remote therapy and intervention services as needed based on specific IEP needs.
  • Develop Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for each student based on results of assessments.
  • Utilize online toolkit via Zoom Plus to provide remote evaluations and therapy.
  • Collaborate with onsite teachers and professionals to advocate for student needs.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings with family and faculty members.
  • Our positions will have the same obligations as an onsite role just from a virtual platform.

Working with VocoVision as an independent contractor means you will be paid in full for any hours worked each week. You will be compensated for 100% of the time you work, including direct time with students and indirect planning periods & IEP development.
