North Carolina - Remote Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher
Are you a skilled and passionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher looking for a remote opportunity to support students in North Carolina? Look no further!
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' communication needs through audiological reports
- Collaborate with parents and other faculty members for Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) reporting
- Provide specialized online instruction for students with deaf and hard of hearing conditions
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Deaf Education
- North Carolina teaching certificate in Deaf Education
- Preferred fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Minimum two years of experience in a school setting
- Preferred experience with teletherapy platforms (i.e., Zoom)
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office space/equipment for teletherapy
Additional Job Details:
- All our contracts are 1099 (no taxes or benefits taken out)
- Compensation for both direct and indirect services
- Part time position about 3 hours per week
- Caseload includes K-12 students with mild to moderate needs
