As we continue to expand our virtual offerings, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming Spring Semester.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Virtual Special Education Teacher to provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs in a remote, online classroom setting. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), conducting virtual lessons, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure the academic success and well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
  • Provide direct virtual instruction and support to students with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lessons and interventions as necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and other team members regarding student progress, concerns, and updates.
  • Participate in virtual meetings with IEP teams and provide insights on student development.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and school policies regarding special education.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Oregon.
  • Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a virtual or classroom setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and special education law.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Comfort and proficiency with digital teaching platforms and virtual learning tools.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success.
