Job Description: As a Remote Massachusetts School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting the social, emotional, and academic growth of students in a Massachusetts school district. Through virtual platforms, you will provide individual counseling, group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services to students in need. Collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and families, you will develop and implement effective strategies to address students' social and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct remote assessments and screenings to identify students' social and emotional needs.
• Provide virtual individual and group counseling sessions to address students' personal, social, and academic concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop intervention plans and provide ongoing support.
• Assess and manage crisis situations, providing immediate support and referrals as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records, documenting progress and outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and review individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in school social work.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Licensed School Social Worker in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school social worker or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Massachusetts education system, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school staff.
• Proficiency in using virtual platforms for counseling and remote collaboration.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Passion for supporting students' social and emotional well-being.
