Term: Winter 2024 to Spring 2025 – VocoVision
Are you a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) eager to make a difference in the lives of students from the comfort of your home? VocoVision is seeking a passionate and experienced SLP to provide online speech therapy services to students in Pennsylvania. This role offers you the chance to help K-12 students overcome speech and language challenges, enhancing their academic and personal growth.
Position Overview:
- Schedule: Flexible full-time and part-time hours available
- Work Setting: Completely remote, offering therapy from home
- Caseload: Support students of various ages and grades, addressing a range of speech and language needs
- Contract Type: Independent contractor (1099)
Key Responsibilities:
- Virtual Therapy: Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions remotely, tailoring your approach to meet each student’s specific needs.
- Evaluations & Assessments: Perform virtual assessments to evaluate speech and language skills, identifying areas for improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with teachers, parents, and staff to create customized therapy plans for student success.
- Behavioral Strategies: Develop techniques to address speech disorders and behavioral challenges in a school environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Certifications: ASHA-certified (CCC-SLP) and eligible for or currently holding a Pennsylvania state license
- Experience: At least two years of experience, preferably in pediatric or school settings
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills for working with students, families, and school professionals
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with virtual therapy tools and platforms (such as Zoom and online therapy software)
