Job Overview:

• Fully Remote Role
• 24/25 Academic Year
• 1099 Contract Position
• Support students with diverse disabilities
• Detailed caseload information will be provided during the interview

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with parents, administrators, and other relevant professionals.
• Utilize various assessment methods to monitor student progress and adapt instruction as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation.
• Work closely with general education teachers and specialists to facilitate effective inclusion and necessary accommodations.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to address different learning preferences and abilities.
• Track and document student progress, behaviors, and achievements while keeping accurate records.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to involve them in their child’s education.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Teaching/Special Education
• Current Special Education Teaching Certification in North Carolina
• Preferred experience working with students with special needs
• Dedication to ongoing professional growth and staying informed on best practices in special education
• Experience in virtual education is advantageous
