About the Role
VocoVision is seeking a dedicated virtual Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This role involves designing, organizing, and implementing effective instructional programs for K-12 students. The teacher will collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and school staff to ensure personalized support for each student.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and Implement IEPs: Create and execute individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
Evaluate and Adjust: Continuously assess student progress and adapt curriculum and accommodations as needed.
Communicate Effectively: Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and educational needs.
Participate in IEP Meetings: Actively engage in IEP meetings to review student progress and plan educational strategies.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Certification: Valid Virginia Teaching Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a school setting; early childhood education experience preferred.
Clearances: All necessary clearances to work in public or charter schools in Virginia.
Availability: Must be available for 37.5 hours per week during the 2024-2025 school year.
