About VocoVision:
VocoVision is seeking an experienced Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist (DHH) to provide remote services to K-12 students in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will deliver specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, helping them succeed academically and socially in a virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide remote support and specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments, ensuring access to all academic content.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address students unique needs.

• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school teams to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary.

• Offer consultation and training to general education teachers to ensure the effective integration of students with hearing impairments into the classroom.

• Participate in IEP meetings to advocate for students needs and provide insights on accommodations and modifications.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Georgias special education regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist in Georgia.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education with a focus on Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.

• At least two years of experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing (teletherapy experience preferred).

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods for DHH students.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with students, parents, and school teams remotely.

• A reliable internet connection and a professional, quiet workspace.
