We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Remote Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students in the upcoming semester.
Position Overview:
As a Remote Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a fully remote setting. You will collaborate with families, school staff, and other professionals to develop and implement effective strategies that support student growth and academic success. Your expertise will ensure that each student receives the necessary support and accommodations to thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide virtual instruction, modifications, and accommodations to meet the needs of students with various disabilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress through virtual lessons, assignments, and assessments.
• Maintain regular communication with students and parents to report progress, provide feedback, and address any concerns.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure coordinated and effective support for students.
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student progress and goals.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive online classroom environment that fosters student engagement and success.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and school policies regarding special education.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Utah.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a remote or classroom setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP development, special education law, and best practices in supporting diverse learners.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with colleagues and families.
• Proficiency with digital teaching tools and virtual learning platforms.
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
