Job Title: Remote Special Education Teacher

Location: Virtual (Ohio)

Hourly Rate: $36-$40

Position Summary:

Are you an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher looking for a fulfilling remote role? VocoVision is thrilled to announce openings for virtual Special Education Teachers for the 2024-2025 academic year!

Position Highlights:

Completely Remote
For the 2024-2025 School Year
1099 Contract Position
Work with students with varying disabilities
Detailed caseload information will be shared during the interview

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with parents, school leaders, and other relevant professionals.
Use assessment methods to gauge student progress and modify teaching strategies as needed.
Create an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere that fosters student participation.
Work alongside general education teachers and specialists to ensure proper inclusion and accommodations.
Apply a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
Keep precise records of student achievements, behavior, and progress.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to engage them in their child’s education.
Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and other school-related functions as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or Teaching
Valid Special Education Teaching License in Ohio
Previous experience with students with special needs is preferred
Commitment to continuous professional development and current best practices in special education
Experience with online learning is a plus
