School Year: 2024/2025 Spring Semester

Vocovision is searching for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work for a school district in Texas for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year. You will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in students within the district.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas
ASHA CCC’s
Two years of experience working in schools
Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their impact on academic performance

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs
Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic progress and inclusion in the classroom
Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational goals
Offer guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding communication strategies and accommodations
Stay updated on the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in speech-language pathology
