Virtual School Social Worker – Full-Time Opportunity in Michigan

VocoVision is dedicated to delivering high-quality, intentional educational support to students throughout Michigan. We are currently looking for a compassionate and motivated School Social Worker to join our network in a full-time, independent contractor role. If you are a licensed social worker passionate about enhancing student well-being, we invite you to apply.

As a Virtual School Social Worker, you will be instrumental in offering vital social and emotional assistance to students within our district. Working remotely, you will support students, families, and educators in addressing various social and emotional challenges that may affect academic performance. Your role will be key in fostering a positive educational atmosphere and promoting overall student well-being.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct virtual assessments to identify students in need of social and emotional support.
Design and implement personalized intervention plans for students.
Provide counseling and assistance to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Offer resources and referrals to external organizations and agencies when necessary.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
Participate in virtual meetings and engage in professional development opportunities.
Manage a K-12 caseload.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
310 Educator Certification required.
LARA licensure required.
Experience working with IEPs.
Strong communication skills, particularly in virtual settings.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a virtual team.
Familiarity with Michigan’s educational and social service systems is a plus.
